Football Recap: Noah Pickard and Jordan Allen Pace Riverside Defense + How To Watch

Riverside had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it six. They took a 24-7 bruising from the Briar Woods Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Ram can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Falcons are ranked 103rd).

Riverside didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Noah Pickard and Jordan Allen.

As for Briar Woods, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. That looming 24-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

James Price had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 144 yards and one TD. Those 144 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
