Softball Recap: Ten Straight Road Wins for St. Marys

While St. Marys's win against Frontier wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Devils narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cougars 3-1. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Cali Masters made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Masters wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Winland, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

St. Marys pushed their record up to 26-5 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Frontier, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-5.

St. Marys wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 1-0 defeat against Oak Glen on the 19th. Frontier does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
