University School of Milwaukee waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Kenosha Christian Life Eagles by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

University School of Milwaukee walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-10, 25-17, 19-25, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Lauren Stone and Sofie Bucher, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Rosie Barksdale and her 23 assists. Abby Dengel controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Despite the defeat, Kenosha Christian Life saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sophia Pereira had 28 digs. Those 28 digs set a new season-high mark for Pereira.

University School of Milwaukee's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Kenosha Christian Life, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-7.

Looking ahead, University School of Milwaukee will square off against Campbellsport at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Kenosha Christian Life, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brookfield Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
