Softball Recap: McBee Panthers vs. Ware Shoals Hornets
McBee put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Ware Shoals Hornets as the McBee Panthers made off with a 14-4 victory. The win was nothing new for McBee as they're now sitting on four straight.
Trinity Brigman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Brigman has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Brigman was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Lily Beasely was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. Kendra Chestnut was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.
