Softball Recap: Loving Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Loving and Hozho Academy squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Loving had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 3-1. The matchup marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Braylee Hunt was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

Loving's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-7. As for Hozho Academy, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 24-5.

Loving wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Raton on the 15th. As for Hozho Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-5 victory against Estancia on the 15th.
