Preview: MacArthur Generals vs. Benjamin Davis Falcons
MacArthur is 1-9 against Benjamin Davis since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The MacArthur Generals will head out on the road to square off against the Benjamin Davis Falcons at 7:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: MacArthur has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Benjamin Davis will arrive with four straight victories.
MacArthur suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 68-32 loss at the hands of Spring. While losing is never fun, MacArthur can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1050th, while Spring is ranked 282nd).
Meanwhile, Benjamin Davis didn't have too much trouble with Dekaney on the road on Wednesday as they won 49-32.
MacArthur has been struggling recently, as they've lost 15 of their last 16 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-22 record this season. As for Benjamin Davis, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.
MacArthur couldn't quite finish off Benjamin Davis in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 and fell 47-45. Can MacArthur avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
