Volleyball Recap: Del Sol Gets the Win

Del Sol's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Chaparral Cowboys by a score of 3-1. The Dragons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cowboys, too.

Del Sol had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-11, 25-7, 25-23.

The win got Del Sol back to even at 1-1. As for Chaparral, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Del Sol will face off against Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Seawolves will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Dragons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chaparral, they will be playing at home against Rancho at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
