Football Game Preview: ThunderRidge Grizzlies vs. Fort Collins Lambkins + Official Tickets

The ThunderRidge Grizzlies will take on the Fort Collins Lambkins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. ThunderRidge will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

On Friday, ThunderRidge came up short against Fruita Monument and fell 34-26. Despite 54 more yards than the Wildcats, the Grizzlies couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Despite their loss, ThunderRidge saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Dillon Gaynor, who picked up 157 receiving yards and one score, was perhaps the best of all. Gaynor was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 55 yards. Caeden Reeder was another key passer, throwing for 293 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt.

Meanwhile, Fort Collins never let their opponents score on Thursday. They breezed past Prairie View to the tune of 48-0. Considering the Lambkins have won five contests by more than 21 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Fort Collins had a senior duo take command as Jack McKeon rushed for 140 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries and Justin Cranford threw for 147 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Cranford's passing game has become a key predictor of the Lambkins' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Fort Collins also got help from Kyrei Kincaid, who showed off his sure hands for 81 receiving yards.

Fort Collins was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 219 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards in six consecutive games.

Fort Collins is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.5 points over those games. As for ThunderRidge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
