Basketball Game Preview: Wesson Cobras vs. Franklin County Bulldogs

Wesson is 1-9 against Franklin County since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wesson Cobras will face off against the Franklin County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Wesson took a blow against Jefferson County, falling 69-28. The match marked the Cobras' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Franklin County ended up a good deal behind Port Gibson on Monday and lost 48-34. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Blue Waves: they've now lost six in a row.

This is the second loss in a row for Wesson and nudges their season record down to 4-14. As for Franklin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Wesson suffered a grim 67-42 defeat to Franklin County in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Wesson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
