Baseball Recap: White Oak Takes a Loss

White Oak was the 3-1 winner over Troup when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Roughnecks took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Roughnecks have lost by exactly four runs.

White Oak saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyson McKinney, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for White Oak and nudges their season record down to 16-5-1. As for Troup, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

While White Oak had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
