Shawnee lost against Cobden back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Redskins fell 2-0 to the Appleknockers. The Redskins' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Shawnee was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15.

Shawnee's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-5. As for Cobden, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Shawnee will face off against Agape Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cobden, they will square off against Goreville at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
