Baseball Recap: Pendleton Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Pendleton extended their winning streak to five on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 14-10 in the process. They came out on top against the Liberty Red Devils by a score of 10-6. With that victory, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Braiden McAlister looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Garrett Williams, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Ayden Clay also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

As for Liberty, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-12. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 16-9 Chesnee (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.2% over those games).

On Liberty's side, Isaac Reece made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Pendleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty, they will face off against Chesnee at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
