Softball Recap: Antelope Valley Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Antelope Valley's offense. They came up short against the Quartz Hill Royals on Tuesday, falling 21-0. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Antelopes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Antelope Valley's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Quartz Hill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antelope Valley will host Lancaster at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Antelope Valley has given up an average of 15.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Quartz Hill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Littlerock at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Quartz Hill is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
