Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Florence couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 66-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hoover Buccaneers on Saturday. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Florence's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryant James, who posted 20 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Chandler, who had nine points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds.

Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 26-8. As for Hoover, the win keeps them at an undefeated 35-0.

As of now, neither Florence nor Hoover have any future games scheduled.
