Volleyball Recap: Winter Haven Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Winter Haven can now relate to. They came up short against the Plant Panthers on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19, 25-14.

Emily Drier paced Winter Haven's offense, picking up 11 kills. Drier got some help from Addison Traina and her 16 assists. Finally, Drier was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Ella Horvick went supernova For Plant., getting 13 digs and two aces. What's more, Horvick racked up six assists, the most she's had since October 7th.

Winter Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 24-6. As for Plant, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Winter Haven does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Plant, after both having extra time off, they and Osceola will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
