Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Thomas Catholic). They blew past the Concordia Lutheran Crusaders 78-57 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Despite the defeat, Concordia Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jaxon Coleman went 7 for 14 en route to 19 points along with six boards and five assists. Cameron Green was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.

St. Thomas Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Concordia Lutheran, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-24 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing St. Pius X the next time they take the court. St. Thomas Catholic will head out to face St. Pius X at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Concordia Lutheran will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
