Baseball Recap: Sierra Takes a Loss

Sierra has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.67 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 11-1 to the Chowchilla Tribe. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Chieftains couldn't push the score so high this time.

Sierra saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Lloyd, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Sierra's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Chowchilla, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.

While Sierra had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
