De Soto and Basehor-Linwood are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wildcats take on the Bobcats on Tuesday. Basehor-Linwood took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on De Soto, who comes in off a win.

De Soto took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Leavenworth by a score of 54-43. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the PIONEERS are ranked 180th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Basehor-Linwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 69-63 heartbreaker at the hands of Saint Thomas Aquinas.

De Soto has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points over those games. As for Basehor-Linwood, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
