Jefferson waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Manual Arts Toilers with a sharp 13-1 win. The Democrats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Andres Alvarez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Manual Arts, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Jefferson beat the Toilers by a score of 18-1 later that day.
