Softball Game Preview: Scranton Prep Cavaliers vs. Delaware Valley Warriors

The Scranton Prep Cavaliers will challenge the Delaware Valley Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Scranton Prep lost 16-6 to Dallas on Tuesday.

Abigail Wilce made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Emelia Williams, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Delaware Valley won against Minisink Valley on Tuesday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. Delaware Valley beat Minisink Valley by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Delaware Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brianna Rebman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Delaware Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Minisink Valley struck out seven times.

Delaware Valley's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Scranton Prep, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Everything went Scranton Prep's way against Delaware Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Scranton Prep made off with an 8-2 win. Do the Cavaliers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
