Preview: Washington Eagles vs. North Forest Bulldogs

The Washington Eagles on the road again on Friday and play against the North Forest Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Washington has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,893 points over their last 22 matches.

Washington stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They blew past Yates 98-54 on the road. Given Washington's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Yates is ranked 317th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Washington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chris Mcdermott, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 20 rebounds. Mcdermott is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Odis Carter was another key contributor, scoring 23 points along with five assists.

Meanwhile, North Forest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 78-51 loss at the hands of Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for Young Men. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss North Forest has suffered since December 21, 2023.

Washington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for North Forest, they bumped their record down to 6-14 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Everything came up roses for Washington against North Forest in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 96-59 win. With Washington ahead 62-31 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
