Softball Recap: Rainier Beach Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Rainier Beach's offense. They lost 23-0 to the Chief Sealth Seahawks on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Rainier Beach saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christine Paul, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Paul's first of the season.

Rainier Beach's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Chief Sealth, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rainier Beach will challenge Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Rainier Beach surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chief Sealth, they will square off against Lindbergh at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
