Basketball Recap: Hersey Comes Up Short

If Hersey was riding high fresh off their 60-33 takedown of Palatine on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies fell 46-36 to the Prospect Knights on Friday. The Huskies have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Allison Linke, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds for Prospect. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Black, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Hersey's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-5. As for Prospect, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Hersey and Huntley will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Prospect, they will welcome Libertyville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
