Soccer Game Preview: Delano vs. Bakersfield Christian

The Delano Tigers will be taking part in a tournament against the Bakersfield Christian Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Delano is headed into their contest with Bakersfield Christian looking for a result a bit more satisfying than what they got in their season opener against Kennedy on Monday. Both finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The Tigers had to tread lightly for part of the game as Johnny Correa and Sebastian Quintana were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Meanwhile, Bakersfield Christian's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Centennial by a score of 2-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Delano skirted past Bakersfield Christian 3-2 in their previous matchup back in December of 2018. Will Delano repeat their success, or does Bakersfield Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
