Flag Football Game Preview: Pomona Panthers vs. Bear Creek Bears + How To Watch

The Pomona Panthers will square off against the Bear Creek Bears at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pomona has four straight wins, Bear Creek has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Pomona's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lakewood 30-0. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won six games by 20 points or more so far this season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Pomona's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Alora Martinez and Timberly Martinez, who racked up all five sacks between them. Alora is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as she's now posted at least one in each of the last seven games she's played.

Meanwhile, Bear Creek fell victim to Dakota Ridge and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 33-0.

Pomona's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Bear Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Pomona against Bear Creek in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 27-0 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
