Spring can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Eisenhower Eagles as the Spring Lions made off with a 16-1 win. With that victory, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Mikayla Zepeda looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Hailey Jones-Calais was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 12 matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Maleah Grounds, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2.
