The Woodrow Wilson Bruins got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Hueneme Vikings's four. Given the Bruins' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Vikings are ranked 521st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Woodrow Wilson and bumps their season record up to 10-6. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Hueneme, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
