Basketball Game Preview: Walsh Jesuit Warriors vs. Brush Arcs

The Walsh Jesuit Warriors will face off against the Brush Arcs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Walsh Jesuit will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Saturday, Walsh Jesuit ended up a good deal behind Hoover and lost 58-42. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 656th, while the Vikings are ranked 109th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brush, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 52-51 photo finish over Shaker Heights on Tuesday.

Brush's win came from a few key players Walsh Jesuit will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Damari Dammons, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dekhi Owens, who posted 11 points and five assists.

Brush's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Walsh Jesuit, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Walsh Jesuit didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Brush in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, but they still walked away with a 49-43 victory.
