Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sabino). They were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the Sahuaro Cougars on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Sabercats, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Ella Morse and Avery Nielson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Morse struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
