Mount Carmel extended their postseason success on Monday against Berks Catholic. They won by a run and slipped past the Saints 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the RED TORNADOES, who have now won seven games in a row.

Drew Yagodzinskie made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one double.

Yagodzinskie wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lukas Carpenter, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Mount Carmel's record now sits at 20-4. As for Berks Catholic, they moved to 20-8 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Mount Carmel nor the Saints have any future games scheduled.
