Baseball Recap: Advance Comes Up Short

Advance lost against Chaffee back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hornets took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by exactly four runs.

Advance saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Henson, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was Henson's first of the season. Jameson Hamlin was another, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Advance's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Chaffee, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Advance will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dexter at 4:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Chaffee, they will head out to take on St. Vincent at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
