Baseball Recap: Kansas City East Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Kansas City East Christian Academy's offense. They lost 22-0 to the Christ Prep Academy Patriots on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, with their most recent defeat being a 9-1 loss last Saturday.

Kansas City East Christian Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season. As for Christ Prep Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kansas City East Christian Academy will venture away from home to take on University Academy Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Gryphons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.87 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Christ Prep Academy, they will challenge Shawnee Mission West at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
