Baseball Recap: Whitewater Comes Up Short

Whitewater lost against Monroe on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Whippets lost 16-3 to the Cheesemakers. The Whippets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whitewater saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Petitt, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Petitt has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Whitewater's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Monroe, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Whitewater has already played their next matchup, an 11-0 win against Clinton on the 2nd. As for Monroe, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Big Foot on the 2nd.
