Northeast strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Old Mill Patriots a 16-0 shutout. Considering the Eagles have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jenna Burroughs made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Burroughs was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, Northeast let Taylor Castle and Brynn Jones run wild. Castle went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI, while Jones scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI Castle has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Madison Burris, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Northeast's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Old Mill, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Northeast will take on Severn Run at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Old Mill, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Severna Park at 4:45 p.m. on the 22nd.
