Basketball Recap: North Surry Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

In Wednesday's Canine Competition, North Surry prevailed. They managed a 56-50 win over the Ashe County Huskies on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Greyhounds: when they faced off against the Huskies back in November of 2024, they had to take a 45-44 defeat.

North Surry's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Badget, who made all 6 shots she took racking up 14 points and seven rebounds. Bitty Phillips was another key player, putting up 18 points and five rebounds.

North Surry wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-43 victory against West Wilkes on the 9th. As for Ashe County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-49 defeat against Alexander Central on the 9th.
