Ripley had lost seven straight, but after bumping their record up to 2-8 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Tipton Christian Academy Eagles 12-11. Considering the Tigers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

As for Tipton Christian Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15. Even if they couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

For Tipton Christian Academy's part, Austin Tucker made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Athens McCullar, who went 1-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Ripley will head out to square off against Covington at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tipton Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Trinity Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
