With a playoff win on the line, Maconaquah rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They snuck past the Twin Lakes Indians with a 52-46 win. Given the Braves' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Indians are ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Maconaquah found their leader in sophomore Ireland Kile, who went 7 of 17 on her way to 21 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Delaney Betzner, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Maconaquah was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Twin Lakes only posted four assists.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taylor Oliver, who earned 15 points and six boards. What's more, Oliver also posted a 75% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in January of 2024. Addyson Hines was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

Maconaquah's record now sits at 14-8. As for Twin Lakes, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

Maconaquah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-40 victory against Western on the 7th. Twin Lakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
