Batesville is a perfect 10-0 against Greensburg since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Pirates at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Batesville 2.9, Greensburg 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Batesville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Jennings County by a score of 8-3. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Meanwhile, Greensburg made easy work of South Dearborn on Saturday and carried off a 9-1 victory. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Lance Coy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Joey Everroad was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Zayden Miller was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Greensburg's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Batesville, their victory bumped their record up to 21-5.

Batesville came out on top in a nail-biter against Greensburg in their previous matchup last Friday, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
