Basketball Game Preview: Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies vs. Heath Bulldogs

Johnstown-Monroe hasn't had much luck against Heath recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies will head out on the road to square off against the Heath Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. Johnstown-Monroe will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Last Sunday, Johnstown-Monroe didn't have too much trouble with London as they won 51-34.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Heath's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 47-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Vernon.

Johnstown-Monroe pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Heath, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-2.

Johnstown-Monroe couldn't quite finish off Heath in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 and fell 37-34. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Heath's Jaxon Duston, who went 7 of 12 en route to 19 points and three steals.
