Softball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

After flying high against Orting last Thursday, Washington came back down to earth. The Patriots came up short against the Fife Trojans on Tuesday, falling 14-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost eight in a row.

Washington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dee Moore, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Fife, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

While Washington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
