Baseball Recap: New Covenant Academy Triumphs

New Covenant Academy let Pleasant Hope stack four runs on them in the second inning on Monday but luckily New Covenant Academy prevailed anyway. The Warriors walked away with a 7-4 win over the Pirates. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

The team relied heavily on Samuel Dauber, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Evan Meadows, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

New Covenant Academy now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Pleasant Hope, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

New Covenant Academy will welcome Early at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Pleasant Hope, they are taking a road trip to challenge Walnut Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
