Ithaca waltzed into their match on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the De Soto Pirates a 4-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-1 back in April.

Ithaca pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for De Soto, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Ithaca will take on Kickapoo at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for De Soto, they have already played their next game, a 4-0 loss against Cashton on the 2nd.
