Basketball Recap: Crete-Monee Takes a Loss

Crete-Monee lost against Kankakee back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Crete-Monee Warriors took a hard 65-50 fall against the Kankakee Kays. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Kays are ranked 33rd).

Crete-Monee's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Kankakee, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

Crete-Monee has already played their next matchup (against Thornton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Kankakee won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Thornridge at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Kankakee's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Thornridge has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.
