Softball Recap: Benzie Central Drops Season-High Score on Lake City

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Benzie Central). They never let the Lake City Trojans get on the board and left with a 23-0 win on Thursday. While the Huskies didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The victory (which was Benzie Central's third in a row) raised their record to 6-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Lake City, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Benzie Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair will be back at it again later today.
