Soccer Recap: Pomona Takes a Loss

Pomona was the 3-0 winner over Northglenn when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pomona Panthers came up short against the Northglenn Norsemen on Friday, falling 5-1. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Panthers couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of EMILY ABEYTA, who's now up to 14 this season.

Pomona's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Northglenn, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Pomona will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bear Creek at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th. Pomona has given up an average of 5 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Northglenn, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Overland at 6:00 p.m.
