Football Game Preview: Coal Ridge Titans vs. Moffat County Bulldogs

Coal Ridge hasn't had much luck against Moffat County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Titans will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Coal Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Moffat County likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, Coal Ridge really took it to Wheat Ridge for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-7 win. With the Titans ahead 27-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Dylan Miller had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 259 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (160.4). Evan Dujka made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Moffat County's offense. They were dealt a 45-0 defeat at the hands of Meeker on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 48 points in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Coal Ridge pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points over those games. As for Moffat County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Coal Ridge's way against Moffat County when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Coal Ridge made off with a 40-15 victory. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
