Basketball Recap: Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters vs. Imhotep Charter Panthers
After flying high against Overbrook last Tuesday, Abraham Lincoln came back down to earth. The Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters were beaten by the Imhotep Charter Panthers 64-36 on Thursday. The Railsplitters haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Abraham Lincoln lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jayden Ortiz-Muhammad, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Barr, who had ten points.
Abraham Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Imhotep Charter, their victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
Abraham Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-62 loss against Varsity Opponent on the 18th. Imhotep Charter has also already played their next contest, a 79-70 defeat against Central York on the 18th.
