A feisty cat fight will be fought as Grace Christian Academy Lions take on Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Grace Christian Academy barely beat The Webb School the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Grace Christian Academy's pitcher stepped up to hand The Webb School a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Feet recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Audrey George made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Rachel Shipman was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Elizabeth Shipman was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2.
Grace Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Middle Tennessee Christian can bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They put the hurt on LaVergne with a sharp 12-0 victory. The Cougars not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 12, 2024.
Middle Tennessee Christian let Riley Osborne and Mollie Wood run wild. Osborne went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs, while Wood got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI and one double. The dominant performance gave Wood a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hope Embry, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Middle Tennessee Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Grace Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Grace Christian Academy took their win against Middle Tennessee Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grace Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
