Softball Recap: Cleburne Takes a Loss

Cleburne's tournament run continued when they took on McCallum on Saturday. The Cleburne Yellowjackets took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McCallum Knights. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cleburne saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kadenze Quzma, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Even though they lost, Cleburne hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive contests.

Cleburne's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-2. As for McCallum, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Cleburne will be playing at home against Joshua at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McCallum, they have already played their next matchup, a 5-0 loss against Shoemaker on the 1st.
