Basketball Recap: Fort Wayne North Side Falls Despite Big Games from Jordan Woods and Max Goheen

Fort Wayne North Side was the 57-56 winner over Warsaw when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Fort Wayne North Side Legends lost 79-57 to the Warsaw Tigers on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Legends can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Tigers are ranked 24th).

Fort Wayne North Side's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Max Goheen, who went 6 of 7 en route to 17 points and five assists, and Jordan Woods, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Goheen a new career-high in blocks (two). Connor Siratei was another key player, putting up six points.

This is the second loss in a row for Fort Wayne North Side and nudges their season record down to 7-9. As for Warsaw, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
